CIVIL DEFENCE COURSE
Hello Sec 2s. Alright, regarding the destination of the civil defence course on wednesday, there is a website you all can access. Its http://cd.can.com.sg/mapguide/SCDFMap/SCDF_Facilities_Locator.html# when you go to the website, scroll down until 3rd CD Division (in green) then select 3B: Yishun Fire Station. You'll then be directed to another map. Next to the map you'll see 'Get Directions'. Select 'Bus or MRT' and submit. Next, under 'Find nearby', select 'Bus' and change the default 100m to 500m.You'll next be directed to another page with 2 links. Click on the bottom one and you'll come to a new map with the buses available.
For those who doesn't want to view it, its technically just take Bus 811 until you come to a block 289. but then you'll have to walk in. Or if you don't mind spending money then you can take a taxi from Yishun MRT. As for coming back, just walk out of the industrial park compound. If i remember correctly there's a bus stop outside with buses that stops near North Point. Then you all can take the MRT back.
Okay for thursday's dry shoot at HTA, please meet at the Forum at 0745. Remember to take your temperatures and bring along your thermometers as well. The attire is school uniform, so you can wear either blouse or pe shirt.

okay a few things first

- FOR DRY/ LIFE SHOOT: Do take your temperature before assembling, and also bring along your thermometers thanks. For those going to HTA by yourselves please notify your TCs or us ASAP.
Alright bearing. Please note the mark scheme and aim to score well alright. This applies not only to those retaking 3rd class but also to the whole squad as yall would be taking 2nd class next time.
okay so here's the criteria:
BERET - free of dust - crest well polished - well pressed! (this is important!) - beret tail tucked in - fitting and of right size (impt!) - hair neatly tucked in( with help of hairnet) -impt again! maybe yall could like to consider what i said about the hair clay/hair gel? (: - crest one finger above left eyebrow - lower point of beret touches ear
BLOUSE - ironed - badges pinned at correct position (impt! make sure nametag isn't slanted, badges are aligned etc) - badges well polished - collar pressed down - collar nicely folded at the back - tucked in neatly - iron line on the sleeve (correct position) - buttons well polished, face correct position
BELT - fitting - loop 2 fingers away from end - free of fingerprints
SKIRT - ironed - correct length (4 fingers from center of knee) - fitting - zip in line with seam line of blouse
SOCKS - same height - not loose - pulled all the way up (impt!)
BOOTS - polished and clean (very very impt!) - shoe laced correctly - no cracks - no creases
Okay this is practically the most we can do to help yall out alr. Do take note of the specific requirements. Also, if you have time do try to look through the drills notes we have printed for yall (: any questions please feel free to approach sarah or me, or post on the squad blog. Will post again on the location of civil defence course + map so that yall can get there, and also on your belok. Today we recorded yall belok-ing so maybe yall can see where you've gone wrong and think of ways to improve further. Int he meantime do ask around your friends/relatives if they know of any method to belok properly. But nonetheless, today yall have displayed a great improvement from the last activity so keep up the good work. All the best for EOYs (:
